In today’s episode I’m having a nice discussion with Cara Tyrrell, founder of core4parenting, who empowers proactive parents to raise happy, healthy, kindergarten-ready children from birth.
Cara has Bachelor degrees in ASL and Linguistics and a Masters degree in Education.
She’s a trained Early Childhood Teacher, Early Years Caregiver, continuing education consultant, and parent coach. In her preschool and Kindergarten classrooms, she identified a pattern of
underdeveloped skill sets in her students leading to a professional pivot as an online Early Childhood Parent Educator.
Cara founded Core4Parenting, an online community and course platform for parents and caregivers that follows the developmental path of the young child while educating, empowering, and engaging parents and caregivers to be their child’s brain architect between birth and 5 years old, setting them up for success in school and life.
Cara accepted to come to the show today to talk to us about self-soothing. I am not a fan of sleep training, because I feel we are missing so many important points about children’s development by doing that, so I found it very interesting to hear about this notion of sleep-soothing.
Cara took us through:
👶 What is exactly self-soothing?
👶 How different is it from sleep training?
👶 What does it look like in real life when parents are using this methodology?

In today’s episode I’m chatting with my friend France Brunel, founder of Yoom, a holistic food brand that makes it deliciously easy to cook ancient superfoods in under 30 minutes. A Hatha yoga teacher, in-training Ayurvedic practitioner and recipe developer, France created Yoom to help the modern mindful individual bring their body-mind into a state of 'inner happy' through the foods they eat. Her first product, a ready-to-cook Kitchari makes cooking high-vibe meals on the daily as easy as 1.2.3.
And so today I asked her to come to the show to talk to us about how Ayurveda can help us promote a healthy cycle and especially how Ayurveda sees postpartum recovery.
France explained to us:
What is Ayurveda?
What are doshas, how to know your mind-body type and what it means for you, plus some recommendations from France
What it means to be healthy in Ayurveda and the relationship between doshas, digestion, and hormones
The postpartum protocol in Ayurvedic medicine
Foods promoting hormonal balance and postpartum recovery: what foods to avoid and what foods to indulge in

In today’s episode I’m sharing with you my very own story and health journey. I’m talking about how I was diagnosed with endometriosis not so long ago after years of struggling and thinking that what I was experiencing was normal.
But I was lucky to find solutions that began to really change my life, after doing a lot of digging and research.
As I’m currently gaining more education on the topic of hormonal health to help other women like it is helping me, I want to share with you what I’m currently learning and discovering.
So today, I’m beginning with the beginning: a deep dive into your menstrual cycle:
👉 The different phases of your cycle: did you know that there were 4 phases of your cycle?
👉 What’s happening during these phases and the complex dance and choreography of your hormones
👉 What phenomenon leads to ovulation and how long it lasts
You can’t listen to this episode without being amazed by what your body is capable of doing. And knowing this is just the starting point of getting to understand how you feel throughout the month, the symptoms you experience, etc.
So stay tuned for other episodes on the topic!

Today’s episode is the last one of our c-section series. I talk about how to ease your way back to exercise after c-section.
I know that like every new mom, you have been cleared to go to the gym again, and advised to do so. That’s exactly why I recorded this episode. To give you some guidelines on what you should be doing before hitting the gym, how to exercise again, and most importantly, why it matters - something nobody told you yet.
In this episode I’m breaking it all down for you:
Your return to exercise plan
What experts you should have in your recovery team to help you along the way
Why each part of the plan matters after a c-section
